K Shrenivas (Founder)
K Shrenivas is an exceptional artist of our times, with expertise in the visual arts and music. Art and Music were part of K Shrenivas’s life right from his birth and he bequeathed these two artistic gifts from his parents, his mother is a passionate art lover who can weave colourful and intricate rangolis within minutes. His father is a singer and harmonium player who excelled in devotional music. The first and most important gift his parents gave him was life and the second being art and music and the natural entailment is that K Shrenivas has made art and music his life. And thus began his inspiring artistic journey
ARTIST
His hunger and passion for art grew right from a tender age, starting with creative scribbling on walls, paper, notebooks and what not. He started his formal training at the tender age of 7 under the late Sri. Thirunavukkarasu, his guru, his mentor and guiding light. Throughout the meticulous training spanning two decades Shrenivas was rigorously trained in every aspect of visual arts. He also learnt the finer nuances of Tanjore painting under the able tutelage of Sri Marudhavannan, a senior Tanjore painting artist.
PERCUSSIONIST / MUSICIAN
K Shrenivas is an acclaimed percussionist who has mastered the art of playing Indian percussion instruments like Mridangam and Kanjira. He is also an accomplished drums player. He has learnt under the tutelage of legendary musicians like Vidwan Sri V Rajashekar, Sri Prapancham Ravindran and Sri Thiruvaarur Bhaktavatsalam for more than a decade. He trained under Sri Sriram Prabhu and Sri Arun to achieve proficiency in western drums. He has performed in more than 1500 music concerts since his childhood. This includes a wide range of musical styles like Sabha concerts, devotional bhajans,
fusion music and cine music.

- His recent Tanjore painting has set a record as “BIGGEST TANJORE PAINTING MADE BY AN INDIVIDUAL” and entered “INDIA BOOK OF RECORDS”.
- Distinction in Higher grade – Free hand outline and Model Drawing, Water Painting, and oil painting. ( Government of Tamil Nadu )
- Art and Music trainer in Top Schools in Chennai for more than 14 years.
- Established “SHRE ARTS WORLD”, in 2009 in Chennai, an academy of Traditional and Fusion Arts with over 200 students.
- He has also received the BEST PERFORMER AWARD from the maestro composer MS Viswanathan.
- He has shared the Stage with legends like Grammy award winner Sri Viku Vinayagaram, Sangeetha Kalanidhi T.V. Goplakrishnan, Sri Thiruvaarur Bhakthavatsalam, Ghatam Dr.S.Karthick, Prapancham Ravindran, Sri Kalaimamani R Raman and more, in the Carnatic Music field.
- He has also made his mark in the cine industry by performing with great artists like Sri S.P.Balasubramiam, Sri Chinna Kuil Chitra, Sri Srinivaas, Sri Vijay Prakash Sri Prasanna and more.
